Robert M. Trainor of Aiken, SC, formerly of Bluffton, SC and Wilbraham, MA, passed away on November 29, 2020, as a result of Covid 19. He was predeceased by his wife of over 50 years Jane (Howe) Trainor. He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Roth and her husband Michael of Longboat Key, FL and Scott Trainor and his wife Johanna of East Longmeadow, MA and four grandchildren: Drake, Olivia, Natalie and Jack. Bob will be remembered for his sense of humor while joking with friends and complete strangers. He had many passions including golf, flyfishing (the love of which he passed on to his son), working in his yard (which he kept meticulous) and most recently he enjoyed skeet shooting and was nationally ranked in his age division. His love of this sport led him to becoming a founding member of the Forest City Youth Junior Shooting Team. He taught and shared his enthusiasm for the sport with both young and old. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Bob’s family is grateful to the staff at Baptist Easley Hospital for their loving care of Bob and all those affected by the Covid 19 virus. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Western MA, 97 N. Hatfield Rd., Hatfield, MA 01038.
