Obituary

Raymond L. Stone, Jr., 92 passed away October 7, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Stoneham, MA., August 14, 1928, he was the son of the late Raymond and Hazel (Kendrick) Stone. Ray was a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in accounting. He was a US Army veteran during the Korean War. Ray was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Springfield and an avid Red Sox fan. Ray even traveled with the Red Sox team in his younger days but his biggest joy was his family. His beloved wife, Barbara (Erwin) Stone died in 2008. He was pre-deceased by his sister Audrey of Reading. He leaves his loving children, Gary and his wife Kristina of East Longmeadow and Brenda Stone and her wife Jesse Leblanc of Wilbraham; his beloved siblings, Robert of Tewksbury, Allen of CO, Penny Girard of S. Carolina, Ruth Geredes of CA, Ellie Stevenson of Cambridge and Jean Card of Enfield; his loving grandchildren, Christopher and his wife Laura, Nicole and her husband Daniel, Jonathan and Julia; his special great grandchildren, Sienna and Evan. All services will be private at the MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. A public memorial service will take place at a later date.
