Obituary

Mary E. (Mientus) Gubala, 97, passed away January 19, 2021. Born in Enfield, CT., October 10, 1923, daughter of the late Francis and Magdalena (Burek) Mientus. Mary worked for the former Bigelow Mills in Enfield and the former Montgomery Mills in Windsor Locks, CT., where she met her husband to be. She was a former communicant of St. Roberts Church in Windsor Locks and was an avid reader. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph J. Gubala and her brothers Stanley and John Mientus, sisters Stella Michalczyk and Sophie Lepkowski and her nephew Fred Lepkowski. She leaves her loving son, Joseph J. Gubala and his wife Monica of Wilbraham and her loving granddaughter, Maryann of Wilbraham, her nephews John, Paul and David Mientus in CT and niece Cynthia Robinson in FL. A funeral home service will be held Monday January 25 at 11am at the Wilbraham Funeral Home 2551 Boston Rd Wilbraham with a calling hour from 10-11am. Burial will be private.
