Mary Beatrice (Rush) Fitzpatrick, 89, died peacefully on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Baystate Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Quincy, Massachusetts, on November 12,1932, and was the daughter of the late Edward P. Rush and Dorothy C. (Doyle) Rush.
Mary raised her family in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and was an employee of Travelers Insurance Company where she had a long career as an insurance adjuster. She enjoyed many pastimes including solving puzzles, bowling, and playing Bingo. In her retirement, Mary enjoyed going on cruises and spending time at the Connecticut shore with her good friend, Jessie. Mary was an avid fan of the UCONN Women's Basketball Team, often cheering the team on in person at games. Mary enjoyed sweets and you often found her baking cookies, pies, or other desserts to share with her family and friends. Overall, Mary loved spending time with her family, and lived an incredibly social life, forming many life-long friendships.
In addition to her parents, Mary was recently predeceased by her daughter, Gail F. Miorandi. Mary leaves behind her brother, Thomas P. Rush and his wife, Jean; her daughters, Deborah A. Rugani and her husband, Brian, Lynn M. Choquette and her husband, John; her son, James F. Fitzpatrick, III and his wife, Lisa; her son-in-law Frank Miorandi; and her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary was beloved by all of her family and friends and will be sadly missed.

Mary's funeral will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022, beginning with visitation from 9:30-10:30 AM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Road, Wilbraham, MA. Mary's Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 AM at St. Michael's Church, 128 Maple Street, East Longmeadow, MA. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Road, Springfield, MA.
