Marea F. Fusco, born March 7, 1932, peacefully passed away at her beloved home on the morning of February 20, 2021. It was the 67th wedding anniversary of her marriage and her husband was by her side when she passed. She was born in Springfield and spent her childhood in Chicopee Falls.
Marea had many great loves including painting and crafts, cooking, crocheting, travel, animals and love of family. She particularly enjoyed painting and taking art classes and her home was filled with her beautiful artwork. She loved vacationing at Hampton Beach with her family. She also planned trips all over the world and she and her husband traveled widely.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and, depending on whether or not you were in her good graces, she would joke about putting her will on an Etch-A-Sketch…which always gave us all a good laugh. Her quick wit made her the life of many parties and she passed her wry sense of humor along to her children.
She leaves her husband, Neal G. Fusco, her daughters, Gina and her husband Steve, Lisa and her wife Sue, and her son, Wayne. She also leaves her grandchildren, Emma and Alex, her sister, Marge, and many nieces, nephews and relatives.
Our family would like to thank Overlook Hospice for their unwavering care. In particular, we would like to thank Amber, Kate and Renee. Their patience and support was very much appreciated during this trying time.
Services will be private. Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham is in charge of the arrangements. Donations in Marea’s memory may be made to your favorite animal shelter.
