Justin (Joe) Maldonado 82, born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on September 05, 1937 sadly passed away on April 30, 2020. He was the son of Juan & Josefa Maldonado (predeceased) and six siblings, (predeceased) Lydia Guzman, Baltazar Maldonado, Miguelina Diaz and Maria Morales. Justin leaves behind two siblings, Asuncion Figueroa and Guillermo Maldonado. Justin moved from New York City to Springfield, Massachusetts to commence a new life with his wife and children. Justin is survived by his loving wife, Ana Maldonado, their two daughters, Anabell DeMaio, husband, Salvatore L. DeMaio Jr. and two children, Salvatore L. DeMaio III and Justin J. DeMaio. Janice DeVane, partner, Nigel Howell and three children, Brandon A. McTizic and Fiancé Trudy Wilson and two children, Braidon A. McTizic and Amariah E. McTizic, Nicole J. DeVane and Thomas DeVane III and daughter Amora DeVane. Predeceased daughter, Lillian Maldonado and three children, John A. Maldonado and five children, Anthony, Jaevyn, Cayden, Elijah and Adelyn Maldonado, Christina Sosa, husband, Jose Vega, and two children, Yadiel and Isaias Vega, Aileen Sosa, husband, Luis Maldonado and three children, Keilianie, Aliannie, and Rayniel Maldonado. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as great friends that will truly miss him. Justin was a dedicated husband and father. He was a hard worker, who loved life and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. You could always find Justin in the kitchen listening to his favorite music and playing the maracas or güiro. He was always full of joy, a true jokester indeed who enjoyed making people laugh, cared deeply about others and would help those in need regardless. He was also a strong believer in our Lord Jesus Christ. Justin retired from Baystate Medical Center where he worked for over 20 years. He also worked for Greater Senior Services, Holyoke Soldiers Home and N.E.N.A. Health Ctr., N.Y.C. Justin was truly the bliss of his family and he will be greatly missed by all his loved ones.
There will be a PRIVATE Funeral Home Service on Friday at 11 AM, which can be viewed via live stream, followed by burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Wilbraham Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
