We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Wilbraham Funeral Home
Helene Veronica (Pajuk) Trombley, 80, passed away on Sunday, May 22nd, 2022 at home after a brief battle with cancer. Born December 31, 1941 in Springfield, MA to Walter and Stella (Zukowski) Pajuk, she was a 1959 graduate of Chicopee High School. She went on to graduate from secretarial school and began her career at IDS Financial Services. She then worked with her husband, Ray, when he started Ray Trombley Associates, a financial planning firm in Wilbraham (now Trombley Associates) where she continued working until six weeks before her passing.
Helene was known not only for her admirable work ethic but also her generous heart. She loved her family and animals of all kinds. With few exceptions, her pets were rescues or animals who appeared at her door and recognized a loving home when they saw one.
Helene was an active member of the Agawam Junior Women’s Club. When she moved to Wilbraham, MA in 1976 and found no club branch in the town, she took it upon herself to found the Wilbraham Junior Women’s Club with a group of like-minded women, many of whom remained dear friends throughout her life. This service organization continues to this day. Helene also volunteered extensively through Minnechaug Regional High School, Wilbraham’s Peach Festival, and other worthy causes.
Helene is pre-deceased by her husband of 53 years Raymond H. Trombley, Jr. She is survived by her sons; Mark Trombley of Madrid, Spain and Michael Trombley, his wife Barbara and their three children, of whom she was enormously proud; Tory of London, UK, Kyle of Charlotte, NC and Alexandra, of Wilbraham. She is also survived by her brother Paul and sister-in-law Elaine Pajuk of Westfield, and her sister-in-law Patricia Gougeon, niece Christine Farr, her husband George and their children; Kaelyn, Braiden and Ellisyn, all of North Andover, MA.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25th, from 3:00 – 7:00pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Helene’s Funeral Mass will be Thursday, May 26th, at 11:00am at St Cecilia’s Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wilbraham- Hampden Scholarship Foundation, PO Box 441, Wilbraham, MA 01095-0441 (a scholarship will be set up to remember Helene and her contribution to the Junior Women’s Club) or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
