Frank U. Kerstetter, Sr., 87, died peacefully on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Baystate Wing Hospital. Born in Oil City, PA to the late William and Winifred (Boyle) Kerstetter, he was a former, longtime resident of Hampden. Frank served his country proudly in the US Air Force for 20 years until his retirement. He worked in Sales for Eastern Container Corporation in Indian Orchard for many years. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Phyllis (Forkey) Kerstetter, their children; Frank Kerstetter, Jr. and Sandra Jahrling and her husband Kurt, sister Rose Watchel and her husband Rudy, sisters in law Claire and Charlene Kerstetter, three grandchildren; Ashley Bannon and her husband Matthew, Kori Malouin and her husband Matthew and Rayann Jahrling and two cherished great grandchildren; Veronica and Sabrina Malouin. In addition to his parents, Frank was also predeceased by his brothers; Leonard and Donald Kerstetter, his sisters; Melva Bowie and Barbara Etzel and infant sister Claudia. Family and friends are invited to attend Frank’s Funeral Service with Military Honors on Thursday, November 18th at 3:00 PM at MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam.
