Ciro Cuomo, 84, died peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2021. He was born in Nocera Superiore, Italy to the late Carmine and Anna (Pecoraro) Cuomo. Ciro worked for 35 years as an assembler at Smith and Wesson until his retirement. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Anna (Attanasio) Cuomo, their loving daughter Silvana Cuomo Ayala of East Longmeadow, his brother Raffaele Cuomo of Springfield and his three adored grandsons who were his world: Justin, Andrew and Jason Ayala. Ciro was predeceased by his brothers Pasquale and Michele Cuomo. Family and friends may meet for Ciro’s Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 9th at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield. Due to state mandated guidelines, only 25 people will be allowed in attendance at the graveside service. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
