Charlotte T. (Leahy) Reed, 97, died peacefully on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield to the late John and Mary (Speight) Leahy, she was a lifelong East Longmeadow resident and a faithful communicant of St. Michael’s Church. She owned and operated Cheryl Reed Travel in East Longmeadow, with her late daughter, Cheryl Reed. Charlotte was also predeceased by her husband Charles Reed, her son Stephen and her two brothers; the late Fire Chief Edward M. Leahy and John Leahy. She is survived by her five devoted children; Kathleen Woodbury (Peter) of Milford, MA, Tricia Hawley (the late Richie Hawley), Nora Dion (Chris) and Maureen Sonoda (Allan), all of East Longmeadow and Matthew Reed (Carole) of Enfield, CT, 13 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and her lifelong best friend Sis Duquette. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26th from 4 – 7PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and friends may meet for Charlotte’s Funeral Mass on Friday at 10:30AM at St. Michael’s Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The Reed family is grateful to Naa Noi for her compassionate care for Charlotte over the past year. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow, MA 01028 or to the charity of one’s choice.
