Amy Kathleen (Tuomey) Pasini

June 21, 1960 ~ May 19, 2020 (age 59)


Amy K (Tuomey) Pasini, 59 years old, formerly of Belvidere Street in Springfield died suddenly at home Tuesday May 19, 2020. Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Christopher Brooks and Mary (Jones) Tuomey. Amy had worked at Baystate Medical Center in many capacities. Teaching Prenatal classes, later retiring as Director of Trauma Services, at Baystate she helped pioneer the use of GIS systems and data mapping for hospital use.  Previous to working at Baystate she was an educator for the American Red Cross and also worked as the Assistant Dean of Admissions at Springfield College for a number of years. In 2006 Amy started a new business concentrating on womens winter knitwear fashion. This business allowed her to express her creativity as a knitter. She was very active in artist guilds and art and craft shows in western Massachusetts. A graduate of Cathedral High School she was a four-time MIAA State Champion in Alpine Skiing. Amy attended the prestigious Burke Mountain Academy as an undergraduate. Honing her skills on skis and igniting her love of education. She graduated with her BA in Science from Springfield College. While at Springfield College she was very active in the New Student Orientation Programs as well as running track and ballroom dancing. She leaves her husband of 36 years Robert M Pasini Jr. (Springfield); her sons, Rory M.Pasini (Springfield); Jonathan C. Pasini (Easthampton, Ma) as well as her daughter Sydney B. Pasini (Springfield). She leaves behind a brother Christopher B. Tuomey (Springfield) and a sister Laura C (Tuomey) Sullivan (Cummington, Ma) as well as a great number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, great aunts and great uncles and in-laws stretching from California, Texas and the Carolina’s to the coast of Maine. She will be terribly missed by her constant companion her 4-year old puppy Bunker. Amy's Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 20th at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield.
