Yvette M. (Mondou) Jensen

December 13, 1922 — September 3, 2017

Yvette M. Jensen, 94, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2017 at home. Born in Fitchburg, MA to the late Joseph and Medora (Lariviere) Mondou, she has resided in Wilbraham for the past 64 years, and was a communicant of St. Cecilia�s Church. She graduated from the High School of Commerce and worked at the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company for 40 years, retiring as the company librarian. She was active in the Connecticut Valley Chapter of the Special Librarian Association, the Springfield Business and Professional Women�s Club, and participated in many of the Mass Mutual functions, including the Mass Mutual Singers. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and served as a Gray Lady during the Korean War. Yvette was a member of the Springfield Garden Club, St. Cecilia�s Women�s Club and a charter member of Beta Sigma Phi. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Norman H. Jensen and sisters Claire R. Consolmagno of Springfield, and Loretta M. Running of Decorah, IA. She is survived by her son John H. Jensen and his wife Robin of Wilbraham and many extended family members and friends. Family and friends are asked to gather at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Road, Wilbraham Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10:00AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM at St. Cecilia�s Church, 42 Main Street, Wilbraham. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Yvette�s name may be made to the Wilbraham Senior Center, 45B Post Office Park, Wilbraham, MA, 01095.
