Winifred Rose Chapman

Winifred “Rose” Chapman, 89, died peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2024, at home at Reeds Landing surrounded by family. Born in Cohoes, NY to the late James and Winifred (Cummings) Nicholson, she was a former longtime Wilbraham resident. A faithful communicant of St. Cecilia Church, she was a Eucharistic Minister and past president of the St. Cecilia Women’s Club. Rose also served as a past president of the Wilbraham Women’s Club and was Chairman of the Board for the Community Survival Center in Indian Orchard. In addition to her parents, Rose was also predeceased by her beloved husband Edward Chapman in 2018. She will be greatly missed by her four devoted children; Kathleen Chapman of Glastonbury, CT, Diana Chapman of Cape Elizabeth, ME, Edward Chapmen of Hull, MA and Sharon Chapman of Gloucester, MA, five cherished grandchildren and two adored great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 23rd from 4-7PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Rose’s Funeral will be Monday from Wilbraham Funeral Home at 9:30AM to a Funeral Mass at 11AM at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham, followed by entombment in Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
