William M. Martin

William Maxwell Martin, died peacefully surrounded by his family on October 9. Born in Leslie, Fife, Scotland to the late William and Euphemia Martin, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Scotland for many years. Bill was also a Veteran serving in the British Army, the division known as The British Royal Armor Corp. during the Malaysian conflict. In 1960, he emigrated from Scotland to Springfield with his wife and two young sons and worked as a self employed carpenter. He was a hard working man who loved his wife and family. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Marion (Faulds) Martin, their two sons; William Martin of Eastham and Alan Martin of Monson, his sister Barbara Forrett of FL, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to gather for William�s Funeral Service on Tuesday, Oct. 17th at 11:00 am at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Immediately following the Service, the family would like you to join them at Tony & Penny�s Restaurant, Ludlow to share stories, food and drink. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army, 170 Pearl St., Springfield, MA 01101-0971.
