Obituary
William H. Kennedy, 81, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at home. Born in Springfield to the late William and Madeline (DeRose) Kennedy, he was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War. Bill worked as a PVTA bus driver for over 30 years and was an avid bicyclist. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years MaryLou (Frappier) Kennedy, their five children: Andrea Bertheaud and her husband Richard, William Kennedy and his wife Kathy Shaw, Susan Goodwin and her husband Scott, Michael Kennedy and his wife Kimberly and Kathleen Reilly and her husband Jeffrey, brother Brian Kennedy and his wife Carol, sister Carol Topulos and her husband Sam, 13 grandchildren: Edward, Abigail, Carene, William, Richard, Emma, Carlie, Hanna and her husband James, Molly, Thomas, Samantha, Katrina and Joshua, and one great granddaughter Alexis. He is also survived by his Aunt Doris Turner and cousin Fr. Rick Turner, as well as several wonderful nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 25th from 4 – 7pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and friends may meet for Bill’s Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11:30am at Holy Name Church, 323 Dickinson St., Springfield. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 1:00 pm in MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
