William (Bill) Francis Miller, passed away peacefully on Monday at Wingate of Wilbraham. Born on September 2, 1932 in Springfield to the late Alfred and Doris (Quinn) Miller. He was raised in Springfield and graduated from Classical High School. As a child, he enjoyed spending summers in Plymouth with his parents and extended family which led to a life-long love of the ocean. Bill married Carol and raised his family in East Longmeadow. Bill worked in the graphic design and printing profession his entire adult life and was a 45-year member of the International Printers� Union. He was formerly a member of the 104thMassachusetts National Guard, Yankee Division and�the East Longmeadow Lions Club. He was a gifted musician and artist. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Bruins, and Notre Dame Football. Bill especially loved spending time with and hearing about the lives of his children and grandchildren. He happily shared and passed on his love of the ocean, skiing, sports, history, and his witty fun-loving sense of humor. Later in life, he considered himself lucky to be reacquainted with and marry his high school sweetheart, Shirley L. (Midwood) Miller who predeceased him. He was the loving father of Michael Miller and his wife Patricia of Wilbraham, Kathleen Jesse of Springfield, Maureen Babineau and her husband Peter of Springfield, Gary Miller of Hampden, and Jennifer Rachele and her husband Thomas of Springfield. The devoted grandfather of Caeleen, Nicole, Kasie, Emma, Austin, Alexander, Grace, and Dallas. Bill also leaves his daughter-in-law Barbara of East Longmeadow and his former wife Carol (Croteau) Miller of Hampden. His stepchildren, Mark Midwood and his wife Susan of Springfield, David Midwood and his wife Marge of Ludlow, and Sandy Blain and her husband Dennis of Shelby NC, and many step grandchildren. Bill�s family would like to thank the nurses, aides, and caretakers at Wingate for their care and compassionate friendship. On Saturday, a funeral home service will be held at 12 noon with calling hours preceding from 9:30 AM-12 noon at the WILBRAHAM FUNERAL HOME, 2551 Boston Road in Wilbraham. There will be a burial scheduled later in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations in Bill�s name may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Assn., Massachusetts Chapter, 72 East Concord Street, Boston, MA 02118.
