William Clark, 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Wilbraham, MA, on Saturday, February 21, 2015, with his loving family by his side. Born in Springfield, MA, on June 3, 1930, he was the beloved son of the late William and Annie (Lyon Kay) Clark, originally from Aberdeen, Scotland. A graduate of American International College, where he earned both MBA and BS degrees, and the High School of Commerce in Springfield, he served honorably with the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Missouri (BB-63). William had a distinguished career, having served as President and CEO of South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth, MA, and previously as Assistant Administrator of Arnot-Ogden Memorial Hospital in Elmira, NY, and Assistant Controller at Wesson Memorial Hospital in Springfield. He was proud to have earned membership in the American College of Hospital Administrators and to have served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hospital Services of New England, and as a Board Member of the Greater Boston Hospital Association, as a Trustee and Board of Investment Member of the South Weymouth Savings Bank and Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He previously resided in Orleans, MA and Brewster, MA, where he enjoyed watching Cape Cod Baseball League games and golfing with his family. He rarely missed a Red Sox or Bruins game. He leaves his beloved wife of 60 years, Ann Carolyn (Anderson) Clark. He also leaves his two sons, Robert Clark and his wife, Jill, of Chatham, NJ, David Clark and his wife, Kathleen, of Hazleton, PA; his three grandchildren, Ian Clark and his wife, Daniela, of London, UK, Erika (Clark) Quinn, and her husband, John, of Cedar Knolls, NJ, and Daniel Clark, and his wife, Kelly, of Bann, Germany. Bill�s Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 11:00AM, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Wilbraham. His family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00AM until the start of the funeral service. Burial with military honors will follow at 1:00 PM at the Massachusetts Veterans� Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to American International College, 1000 State St., Springfield, MA, 01109 or to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 758 Main St., Wilbraham, MA 01095 .
