Virginia (Remington) Andrewes passed away peacefully on August 16th after a long illness. She was born in New Britain, Connecticut, the daughter of Margaret (Muldowney) and William Francis Remington. Gini was educated in New Haven, working at one time for Yale New Haven Hospital. She was well read, intellectually curious and had a wide knowledge of performing arts. Musically talented and a skilled vocalist, she once served as choir director at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Saint George. Gini was active in local theatre, acting in, producing, or directing plays and musicals with her husband, Arthur T. Andrewes. Gini served as a past president of the local American National Theatre Association chapter and was active in many community theatre groups. Gini was a devoted mother who helped care for her granddaughters and a loving aunt to 23 nieces and nephews, and took great pride in her Irish heritage. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Jan and Mark Limero, and her granddaughters Shannon and Meghan. Gini often said Mark was all one could hope for in a son. Her granddaughters were the lights of her life; she was a special presence in their lives until and including the day of her passing. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; her sister, Betty Lynch; her brothers Bobby and F. William Remington; and her dearest sister Dottie Kirby. She had special remembrance for her niece Tina Remington and brother in law, Richard Kirby who predeceased her. She leaves many friends and family to remember her unique spirit. Calling hours are on Monday, August 24th, from 4-7PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Burial services will be private. The family welcomes contributions in Ginis name to the Salvation Army at
