Tyrone J. Osoimalo

April 26, 1979 — November 21, 2025

Wilbraham

Tyrone J. Osoimalo, 46, of Wilbraham, passed away tragically on Friday, November 21, 2025. Born in Springfield to Sheri Ahearn and Sasina Osoimalo, Tyrone grew into a strong-willed, passionate, and determined man whose presence filled every room. He was committed, a little boisterous at times, but always loving, thoughtful, and deeply caring. Above all, his daughter Melina was the center of his world.

Tyrone was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School. After graduation, he proudly served his country, joining the United States Air Force, where he formed lifelong bonds with his military brothers. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina Wesleyan College and earned a Master’s degree from Boston University. He built a successful career as an I.T. Project Specialist with the Department of Treasury, IRS, where he was valued for his honesty, work ethic, and dedication. He was preparing to begin a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence in January—a testament to his drive to always grow, learn, and serve others.

At the time of his passing, Tyrone was working on a project close to his heart: developing a system to help Veterans and disabled individuals navigate the benefits they deserved. He was proud to have applied for a provisional patent and was fueled by the hope of improving the lives of others.

Tyrone had a big personality and an even bigger heart. He cherished time with his family and friends—many of whom he had known since childhood. He loved listening to his favorite playlist on repeat, enjoying a bit of gambling like fantasy football or poker, and celebrating a good scratch ticket win. He excelled as a young baseball pitcher and never lost his love for the game, happily tossing a wiffle ball in the yard with the kids. He adored his two boxers, Willow and his beloved “soul dog,” Nash. At home, he was known for cooking a huge breakfast, a hearty lasagna, or a rich seafood Alfredo that everyone looked forward to. And, he was eagerly awaiting the new season of “Stranger Things” to watch with Melina.

Loving son, husband, father, step father and friend, Tyrone is survived by his beloved wife, Amanda Walker; his cherished daughter, Melina Osoimalo, and her mother, Kate Slater; his stepsons, Dylan Walker and Jaxson Walker; his mother, Sheri Ahearn; his father, Sasina Osoimalo, four brothers; Jaymes Ahearn and his wife Sheriann of Greenfield, Kevin Febus, Keith Febus and Taurean Febus, all of Chicopee, niece and nephew; Makenzy and Kayson. He is also survived by many cousins, work colleagues, and countless local friends—many from childhood—and close military buddies who became family.

He was predeceased by his adoring grandmother, Carol “Nana” Ahearn.

Tyrone’s life was defined by loyalty, love, resilience, and an unwavering desire to take care of those he loved. His absence leaves a tremendous void, but his impact—on his family, his friends, and the many people he helped—will continue to live on.

The immediate family would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of support, from all his friends and relatives to all the first responders, especially the Wilbraham Fire Department, Wilbraham and State Police and the local community.

“Those we love never truly leave us. Their love is forever woven into our lives”
