Thomas Yakum

Thomas Yakum, 82, died peacefully on May 18, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, CT to the late Peter and Sophia (Kuzniar) Yakum, he was a proud Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a machinist at Newman Sewing Machine for several years. Thomas leaves his beloved wife of 60 years Doris (Bacon) Yakum of Wilbraham, one sister Jane Auby of Palmer and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 22nd at 10:00 am at St. Cecilia�s Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Visitation will be held on Friday from 8:30 � 9:30 am at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104-2396 or to Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society. P.O.
