Susan E. (Ellsworth) Jackson

Susan E. Jackson, 71, beloved wife, mother, grammie and friend passed away on November 28th, 2015. Susan, a Springfield native, was born in 1944. She was selfless, loving and caring. At any given moment you could find her doing something for someone else, whether it be hemming a pair of jeans for her daughter, baking brownies for her grandson, or furiously searching online for a pair of boots for her granddaughter. She did it all, and never asked for a thank you.�You wouldn't catch Sue outside of her house without looking her very best. She took pride in her appearance. She would spend 2 hours putting on her makeup just to drive to the bank to make a deposit, and she was beautiful.�When it comes to sports, there was no questioning what her favorite team was. Uconn's women huskies all the way. She had every game marked on her calendar, and she�never missed one. Her sports were yoga and tai chi. She loved the Thursday mornings she was able to spend practicing with her dear friends. Cape Cod was a special place for her. She and her husband, John, would take day trips there just to eat at Seafood Sam's. She also loved the time she got to spend in Westerly, Rhode Island; 15 years at Timber Creek RV Resort. There she spent many hours walking the beach looking for heart rocks and sand dollars.�She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, John Jackson; owner of Jackson's Auto Sales & Service, her daughters, Sherry Jackson and Diane Murray, her son-in-law Alan Murray, her two grandkids, Tiffany and Christofer Murray, and her dog, Summer. She loved her late dog Lily.�At Sue's wishes, a private gathering will be held at a later date.
