Obituary
Stephen D. Burns of Wilbraham, MA passed away unexpectedly at home on September 8, 2022. He was 54 years old. Stephen was born March 25, 1968, in St. Louis Park, MN as the second child of Mary Ellen (Knudsen) and Dennis C. Burns
In 1975, Stephen moved from Minnesota to Wilbraham, MA with his family. After graduating from Minnechaug Regional High School in 1986, he joined the work force. Stephen worked many years as a Fleet Service Supervisor for US Airways at Bradley International Airport. In 2006, Stephen moved on to work many more years as a Supervisor at UPS.
Stephen is survived by his mother Mary Ellen Burns of Wilbraham, MA and two brothers -- Mark Burns of Wilbraham and Michael (Pamela) Burns of Dudley, MA. He is also survived by his nephews Brian Burns and Brendan Burns both of Dudley, MA. His father Dennis Burns predeceased him in February 2022.
Stephen loved his family, his friends, and his dogs. He loved anything to do with the outdoors and always felt his best there. Stephen will be dearly missed and always remembered for his warm smile and affectionate ways. A memorial service will be held at St. Cecelia’s Church, 42 Main St in Wilbraham, MA at 10 am on Friday October 21, 2022.
