Obituary
Stanley Papuga, 79, passed away May 24, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born Dec. 26, 1938 to the late Stanley and Stasia Papuga. Stanley proudly served in the US Air Force. He worked as the Director of Facilities for the Springfield Housing Authority. Stanley was a very talented and popular musician who played in numerous bands throughout the Region. He enjoyed fishing and boating, being with family and friends, relaxing and spending time in Dziadziu's Lounge and listening to polka stations to enhance his Polish heritage. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Dudeck) Papuga, his beloved children; Tracey Goncalves (Tony), Sharon Sedelow, Anthony Papuga (Sandra) and Mark Papuga (Susan) all of Ludlow, his cherished 8 granddaughters, 1 step grandson, 1 step granddaughter, his sisters Cecilia Roy (her late husband Richard) Kathleen Sullivan, his brother Donald Papuga (Linda) as well as several nieces and nephews. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 12 Noon in Christ the King Church, 41 Warsaw Ave., Ludlow. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling Hours will be held Wednesday from 9 to 11 AM at the WILBRAHAM FUNERAL HOME, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ludlow Community Band, c/o TD Bank, 549 Center St., Ludlow, MA 01056.
