Obituary
Longtime Wilbraham resident Ruth M. Lindahl, 85, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at home surrounded by her family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Sverre and Margit (Stub) Monrad. She graduated from Hartford Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and worked as a nurse in Dr. Schwendenmann’s office for 25 years. Ruth was an active, charter member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Wilbraham. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband of 65 years, Lennart W. Lindahl, their children; Paul W. Lindahl, Karin Sardinha and her husband Joseph, Ann Stoddard and her husband John and six beloved grandchildren; Katie, Kim, Brian, Kristine, Dennis and Zachary and seven cherished great grandchildren. Ruth was predeceased by her daughter Louise Lindahl Humphrey, her daughter in law Gwen Kennedy Lindahl and her brother Alf Monrad. Funeral Services will be held privately for the family. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Calumet, Box 236, West Ossipee, NH 03890 or to Baystate Hospice, 30 Capital Drive., West Springfield, MA 01089.
