Rose M.
Malysz
Sep 24, 1929 — Aug 21, 2026
Wilbraham
Rose Mary Malysz, 96, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 21, 2026. Born in Springfield to the late Stanley and Stella Lazarz, Rose was a long time Wilbraham resident.
Rose grew up singing. She and her sister recorded several songs with their father’s orchestra in the 1940’s. Many years later, Rose sang with the Wilbraham Choral Society Mixed Chorus, performing at local churches.
Rose loved to travel. She and her husband attended President Reagan’s inauguration. They vacationed in Cancun, Mexico, where she tried parasailing, Hawaii, and they traveled coast to coast across Canada by train.
A perfect mother, Rose was supportive and encouraging of her children’s endeavors. A dedicated homemaker, Rose truly made her house a home. A beautiful human being, she was full of goodness, always positive and always speaking kindly of everyone and everything. Always caring about others, Rose was much more concerned with others’ welfare than her own, even her nurses and caregivers.
In her illness, Rose suffered silently and gracefully with never a complaint. Never seeking recognition, Rose offered her help to the end. She was a living model of a saint, espousing Christ’s values daily.
Rose was predeceased by her sister Mary Cygen and her beloved husband Thaddeus K. Malysz. She will be sadly missed by her three devoted children: Thaddeus “Ted” M. Malysz of Wilbraham, Mark K. Malysz of Nashua, NH and Karen Robitaille (Robert) of South Windsor, CT and 2 beloved grandchildren, Jenna and Leanne.
Rose’s family would like to thank the caring professionals at Beacon Hospice for their compassionate care; especially Jessica, Gina, Mary Lou, Katie, Jennifer, Heidi, Carolyn, Melanie, Sara, Stella and Pamela.
Rose’s Funeral Services were held privately, at the convenience of the family. Wilbraham Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
