Obituary
Robert Motley, 86, died peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Orchard Valley in Wilbraham. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late William and Olive (Jefferson) Motley, he served his country proudly in the US Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Bob continued his career in the Air Force as an Air Field Manager at Westover AFB, retiring as Lt. Colonel. He enjoyed visiting the casinos, working in the yard and spending time with his grandchildren. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Lois (Blair) Motley, son Robert Motley and his wife Kerry of Holyoke, daughter Kim Hall and her husband Geary of Portsmouth, RI and his six adored grandchildren: Laura, Steven, Kristin, Daniel, Nicholas and Brenna. In addition to his parents, Bob was also predeceased by his five siblings. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6th from 9:30-11:30AM. A private burial ceremony with Military Honors will be held in MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery. Bob’s family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Orchard Valley for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
