Robert E Flagg, Jr.

November 28, 1929 — February 9, 2025

Robert E. Flagg, Jr., 95, died peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at home. Born in Springfield to the late Robert E. and Virginia (Boughton) Flagg, he was a proud Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.
Bob worked for R.E. Phelon Electric Company as Chief Maintenance Operator. Bob started his own company, B&B (A&G) Irrigation Company for 25yrs. He then was employed by Springbourne Labatories as a Facility Maintenance Manager from which he retired. After retirement, he worked part-time for the local Home Depot in the plumbing department.
Bob enjoying playing golf, was an avid NASCAR and football fan.
Bob is survived by his companion of 30 years, Rose Marchand, his four devoted children; Robert Flagg of Palmer, Sharon Flagg and her wife Cynthia Piela of Sandwich, MA, Jeff Flagg of Springfield and Scott Flagg and his wife Sonia of Monson, four grandchildren; Abigail, Mason, Rachel, and Hannah and one great grandchild Indiana. Bob also leaves his sister Beverly Noonan and her husband James and his previous wife Elizabeth Bates. Bob’s family would like to thank Multicultural Community Service for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb, 17th from 4-7PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Committal Service with Military Honors will be Tuesday at 9AM at MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn., POBox 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692 and/or to Multicultural Community Services, 1000 Wilbraham Rd. #4, Springfield, MA 01109.
