Obituary
Longtime Wilbraham resident Robert J. Fitzgerald, 75, passed away August 1, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 10, 1947 to the late Thomas and Ann Fitzgerald. Bob graduated from South Hadley High School, Class of 1965 and Holyoke Community College in 1967. He was a US Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War as a member of the 1st Cavalry. Bob worked a lifelong career in sales for Hampden Papers, Inc. before retiring as Vice President of Sales. He enjoyed cheering on his grandkids from the sidelines, antiquing with the love of his life, and trying to win big.
Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara (Dambrauskas) Fitzgerald. He will be sadly missed by his children; Brian Fitzgerald and his wife Monica of Feeding Hills, MA, Colleen Gorsky and her husband Brad of Larchmont, NY and Beth Storey and her husband Matt of Suffield, CT, and his cherished grandchildren; Ava, Megan, Louisa, Juliet, Heidi and Zachary. Robert's Funeral Mass will be held Friday August 5th at 12:30 PM at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will precede the Mass from 10:30 AM to 12 PM at the Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd, Wilbraham.
