Robert W. Carroll, Sr.

Robert W. Carroll, Sr., 82, died peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chicopee to the late Thomas and Bessie (Crowley) Carroll, he was a graduate of Cathedral High School, class of 1950, and a proud Navy Veteran of the Korean conflict. He worked as a gun polisher at Smith & Wesson and later in facilities management for Western New England University. Robert was a communicant of St. Michael�s Church in East Longmeadow. He leaves his devoted wife of 61 years, Joanne (Goodwin) Carroll of Longmeadow, their four children; Elizabeth Carroll and her husband William Fontaine of South Hadley, Robert Carroll, Jr. and his wife Allison of Agawam, Mary Carroll Conchieri and her husband Michael of Feeding Hills and Cynthia Carroll Robitaille of South Hadley and five cherished grandchildren; Anne Carroll, Sean, Patrick and Brianna Conchieri and Shannon Robitaille. Family and friends may gather for Robert�s Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12:30 pm at St. Michael�s Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 2:00 pm in MA Veteran�s Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
