Obituary
Robert (Bob) Herman Branconnier, 81 of Hampden passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Born on April 3, 1939 in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late Herman Joseph and Cora Beatrice (Godon) Branconnier. He was a 1957 graduate of Technical High School in Springfield. Bob married the love of his life Diane Marie Donah on September 3, 1960 and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. He worked as a machinist/toolmaker for Condon Manufacturing Company, Inc. in Springfield for 15 years, he then worked for BVH Engineers/Integrated Services, Inc. in West Hartford and Bloomfield, CT for 22 years as a senior electrical engineer before retiring in 2005. He enjoyed traveling with Diane, spending time with his family and reading biblical scriptures every day. Bob was a passionate member of the New England Parousia Epiphany bible class, studying the bible and the daily manna. He was consecrated to God and devoted to the future earthly phase of the kingdom. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Diane; daughters: Lauri Mikkola and her husband Scott of Greenhead, FL, Ann Garbecki and her husband Brian of Hampden; sons: Michael Branconnier and his wife Michelle of North Reading, MA, Mark Branconnier and his wife Jennifer of Wilbraham; (12) grandchildren: John-Michael Mikkola and his wife Raquel, Timothy Mikkola, Marissa (Garbecki) Hyszczak and her husband Peter, Faith Garbecki-Cerasani and her husband Domenico, Matthew Garbecki, Andrew Branconnier, Ian Branconnier, Nicholas Branconnier, Noah Branconnier and Neve Branconnier; (2) step-grandchildren: Micah-Ella Estacio and Elijah Estacio; (4) great grandchildren: Finn, Autumn, Adalyn and Callum. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Arianna. We would like to offer a heartfelt Thank You to all the staff at Spectrum Hospice, the Jewish Lifecare Nursing Home and the D’Amour Cancer Center for everything they have done. CALLING HOURS FOR ROBERT WILL BE THURSDAY December 10th FROM 4-7 PM AT THE WILBRAHAM FUNERAL HOME, 2551 BOSTON ROAD, WILBRAHAM. Due to the pandemic, the funeral home must restrict the attendance during visitation and the funeral service, we request friends to limit their visitation to a brief period, wear a mask and practice social distancing. The funeral service will be Friday at 11 AM at the Wilbraham Funeral Home and burial following in the St. Michaels Cemetery in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to the Spectrum Hospice Home Care and JGS Lifecare, 770 Converse Street, Longmeadow, MA 01106.
