Richard Paul Prairie, 81, died peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Soldiers� Home in Holyoke. Born in Winooski, VT to the late Michael and Jane (Lecuyer) Prairie, he was a proud Air Force veteran. He worked in computer sales for many years for Western Union and Siemens and was a faithful communicant of St. Cecilia�s Church in Wilbraham. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Marisa (Degano) Prairie, three devoted sons; Carl Prairie and his wife Barbara of Springfield, David Prairie of Tampa, FL and Jeffrey Prairie and his wife Susan of Wilbraham, seven cherished grandchildren; Stephanie Maynard, Nicole, Kristina, Michael, Richard and Ann Marie Prairie and Jennifer Nichols, 2 adored great grandchildren; Audrina and Benjamin, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Prairie in 1993. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23rd from 4-7pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Richard�s Funeral will be Thursday at 9am from Wilbraham Funeral Home to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Cecilia�s Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in MA Veterans� Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holyoke Soldiers� Home, 110 Cherry St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
