Raymond P. Turgeon

Raymond P. Turgeon, 84, died peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Wingate at East Longmeadow. Born in Holyoke to the late Raymond and Stella (Strepka) Turgeon, he was a proud Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He earned his Bachelor�s and Master�s Degrees from Western New England University. He worked as Chief Procurement Officer for the City of Springfield for many years. A communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church, he also was a member of adjunct faculty at WNEU, where he taught engineering for many years. Raymond is survived by his wife of 60 years Joan Marie (Sandillo) Turgeon, his son John Turgeon and his wife Cheryl of East Longmeadow, brother Donald Turgeon of Agawam and two beloved granddaughters; Kaylene and Karly. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Raymond�s name may be made to Holyoke Soldier�s Home, 110 Cherry Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
