Raymond Pagella, 87, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Born in Springfield to the late Giovanni and Amelia (Parodi) Pagella, he was a lifelong Springfield Resident. A proud Navy Veteran of World War II, he served as Aviation Ordinanceman, third class, aboard the USS Boxer, where he received the WWII Victory Medal. Raymond was a 40 year truck driver for many local transport companies. Upon retirement, he worked at Springfield Florist Supply Co. for 19 years. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge #61 and Teamsters Union Local 404. He enjoyed woodworking, travelling, ballroom dancing and spending time with his grandchildren. Raymond leaves his beloved wife of 64 years Marianne Frances (Targonski) Pagella, two sons; Raymond Pagella of Westfield and Thomas Pagella and his wife Judith of Feeding Hills, one daughter Karen McGee and her husband John of Sudbury, brother in law Leonard Targonski of VT, sisters in law Joan Targonski of CT and Judith Targonski of MA, sister Irene White of FL, eight cherished grandchildren and good friend Marjorie Foy. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18th from 4:00 � 7:00 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at Wilbraham Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1023 Parker St., Springfield. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 1:00 pm at MA Veterans� Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam.
