Paul William Flannery, 91, of East Allen Ridge Road passed away Sunday at home. He was born in Somerville on October 12th, 1922 to the late David L. and Anna M. (Derby) Flannery. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School and later graduated from the School of Practical Art formerly of Boston. He worked as a self-employed commercial artist and syndicated cartoonist for most of his life. He was a communicant of Christ the King Church in Ludlow and he was very active in the Massachusetts Citizens for Life. He was also a member of the Toastmasters of Western Mass. He was the loving husband of 67 yrs. to June E. (Mason) Flannery, beloved father of Paul T. Flannery, Anne E. Welz, Jane P. Leydet, Mary E. Flannery, Margaret M. Buchholtz, Barbara A. LaBrec, and David T. Flannery. Paul was predeceased by his two cherished daughters, Martha Goodrow (1989) and Frances Flannery (1965). He was the devoted grandfather of 15 and great grandfather of 14. The funeral will be Thursday 9 AM at WILBRAHAM FUNERAL HOME, 2551 Boston Road, Wilbraham, followed at 10 AM by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Christ the King Church, 41 Warsaw Avenue, Ludlow. Burial will be at St. Michael�s Cemetery in Springfield. Calling hours are 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
