Monson - Paul Judson Brooks, 70, passed away peacefully at home, Friday. He was born in Chattanooga, TN on Feb. 2nd, 1947 to the late Kenneth and Elizabeth (Lock) Brooks. He was brought up in Springfield and later lived in Suffield, Blandford, Monson and Long Island. Paul was a well-known Financial Advisor for 47 years and Proprietor of Brooks Associates of Springfield. He was a 43 year member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He was formerly a member of the U.S. Army National Guard and attended Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hampden. He had a love of antiques and fine art. He raced boats; canoeing and played sports when he was young. He went from prep school to two universities and two colleges, where he earned his degrees in financing. He spent many hours working in his gardens and riding his tractor. He enjoyed his work even more when his wife joined his staff. He was the loving husband to songstress Lana (Kendel) Brooks, beloved father of Jacob Wood of Long Island, caring brother of Kent Judson Brooks and his wife Janeen of Damascus, OR, Reed Judson Brooks of Monson, Lyle Judson Brooks of Hardwick, Mark Judson Brooks of Worthington, Jeannette McRobbie and her husband Gavin of Springfield, and the late Judd Judson Brooks (1991), and he also leaves several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3-7 PM at WILBRAHAM FUNERAL HOME, 2551Boston Road, Wilbraham. There will be a Funeral Service Monday at 10 AM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 123 Allen Street, Hampden, burial will follow the service in Blandford Hill Cemetery.
