Norman F. Rauscher, 88, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Born in Ilion, NY to the late Raymond and Anita (Kapfer) Rauscher, he graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Chemical Engineering Degree, class of 1949. He worked as Plant Manager for Diamond International in Thorndike, MA for many years. A longtime member of Church of the Epiphany in Wilbraham, Norm was a former member of the Wilbraham Planning Board and an active member of the Wilbraham Hampden Rotary Club, where he served as Past President. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years Jean (Dawley) Rauscher in 2013 and his cherished granddaughter Devon Rauscher in 2004. He will be sadly missed by his three children; Deborah Gale and her husband Hollis of Princeton, NJ, Ronald Rauscher and his wife Susan of Wilbraham and Eric Rauscher and his wife Susan of Manchester, CT, two brothers; Arnold Rauscher of Binghamton, NY and Raymond Rauscher or Rochester, NY, six grandchildren Pamela, Kellie Jo, Kathryn, Mary Elizabeth, Grant and David, and three great grandchildren; John, Colby and Graham. A Memorial Service at Church of the Epiphany will be held in the Spring.
