Nicole A. Faille

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved daughter, Nicole Faille, on May 10, 2024, after a long illness. Nicole was born on December 3, 1984, to Beverly (Dec) Faille and the late Richard F. Faille. From the day she was born, she was a great joy to all who knew her. She had a kind, beautiful, gentle soul and generous heart. She was very precocious, walking at 9 months, and swimming at 2 years of age without a bubble. She enjoyed swimming and playing soccer for the Wilbraham Falcons in her youth. She also loved riding horses. Nikki grew up and attended schools in Wilbraham. She was very bright, adding and subtracting dollars and cents when she was only 5. In junior high, she was invited to participate in a Johns Hopkins program for students with high academic achievement. She went to Cathedral High School and later Springfield Technical Community College. Nicole found the essence of true character in the words of the Little Prince, “What is essential is invisible to the eye”. She loved traveling, from a dude ranch in British Columbia, to Europe, to our home in Naples, Florida. She also had a great love of animals and had several pets. This was her favorite time of the year with all the flowering trees in bloom. Nikki loved her family and her pets Anna, Sammy, Maddie, Cyra, Toby, Kaia, Sakura, and Michah.

Nicole will be deeply missed by her mother, Beverly, and her beloved aunt, Barbara Faille, SSJ. Nikki also leaves behind her “aunt” Kathryn Flanagan, SSJ, and her best friend Tina. She also leaves behind her cousins, Sharon, Bryan, and Robert Dec and her aunt Mary Dec. Nicole was predeceased by her beloved brother, Justin Faille, whom she will now join in the galaxy with her own star. She was also predeceased by her father Richard Francis Faille. She was also predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Bolak and Molly Dec from Chicopee, her uncle Alan Dec from Indianapolis and her uncle Bryan Dec from Holyoke as well as her paternal grandparents, Francis Faille from North Adams, and Doris Paradise, from California. Calling hours will be Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10:30-11:30 AM at the Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham with a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM at Wilbraham Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
