Mona Lapalm Sarrette

Mona LaPalm Sarrette, 73, died peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, HI to the late William and Dorothy (Aniu) LaPalm, she was a 1969 graduate of Ursuline Academy and attended Springfield Technical Community College. She was a merchandiser and area supervisor for American Greetings of Cleveland, OH for 22 years, retiring in 2007. One of Mona’s fondest childhood memories was appearing, along with her brother Buzz, and Hollywood actor Yul Brynner, in the musical “The King and I’ at the Storrowton Music Theatre in West Springfield. In addition to her parents, Mona was also predeceased by her brother “Buzz” LaPalm, son David Sarrette and mother in law Claire Sarrette. She will be dearly missed by her husband Donald Sarrette, son Michael Sarrette, brother William LaPalm (Susan), sisters; Sandy Yasuhara (Luke) and Diana Gilmartin (Jay), father in law Ernest “Don” Sarrette, sisters in law; Sharon LaPete and Ann Mole (Frank), as well as many nieces and nephews. Mona’s Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
