Minnie (Oliver) Paquin, 97, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Born in Cranston, RI to the late Joseph and Rose Oliver, she was a longtime East Longmeadow resident. Minnie worked for many years as a bookkeeper for the family business, Thermal Structures and as a public school aid in Naples, FL during retirement. A faithful communicant of St. Michael’s Church in East Longmeadow and a member of the choir, she was also an active member of the East Longmeadow Women’s Club, a founding member of the East Longmeadow Garden Club as well as Bridge Clubs at many area Senior Centers. An avid golfer, Minnie played at Elmcrest Country Club and other area golf courses in MA, RI and FL. Minnie was predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond A. Paquin and her cherished granddaughter Rachael Aldrich. She is survived by her sons; Jeffrey Paquin and his wife Donna of East Longmeadow and Gary Paquin of Monson, grandchildren; Jeffrey Paquin, Jr. (Kelly), Erica Myers (Derek), Stephanie Paquin (Christine), Larry Asselin (Christie), Jennifer Brathwaite (Junior), Joanne Harley Paquin and Shelby Paquin, great grandchildren; Kailani, Camden, Sydney, Madison, Matthew, Adriana and Ann-Marie, several nieces and nephews and many friends made along the journey of her life. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27th from 9-11AM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Minnie’s Funeral Mass will follow at 12Noon at St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow. Burial will follow in Billings Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the MA Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired, 200 Ivy St., Brookline, MA 01606 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256, or to the charity of one’s choice.
