Michael H. Fortune

Michael Harold Fortune, 70, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2023. Born in Springfield to the late Harold and Margaret (Capuano) Fortune, he was a graduate of Cathedral High School and attended the University of Albuquerque. Mike retired from the Springfield School Department after many years of service. He loved to follow sports and spend time with family. Mike is survived by his beloved wife Angela (Galanis) Fortune, his son Michael, sister Barbara (Gerry) Calvanese, brother Frank Fortune, sister Jeanne Fortune (Alan Kodis), brothers; John (Regina) Fortune, Stephen (Jo Anne) Fortune, along with many nephews, nieces and grandchildren. Michael’s Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Rescue Mission, 10 Mill Street, Springfield, MA 01108.
