Obituary
Michael J. Bacon, 51, passed away peacefully at his home on July 2, 2018. Mike was born in Springfield and spent most of his life in Wilbraham. He worked as a truck driver for many years and in shipping and receiving. Mike was predeceased by his parents, John and Margaret Bacon. He is survived by 2 sisters, Beth Cebula and her husband Tom of Wilbraham, Karen Jervah and her husband Jeff of Raleigh, NC, 3 brothers, Stephen and his wife Christine of Wilbraham, Thomas and his wife Holly of Shrewsbury, and Mark and his wife Gina of Ludlow. Mike is also remembered lovingly by several nieces and nephews.
Mike enjoyed spending time with his family at his sister’s lake house in Holland MA, where he taught his nieces and nephews how to fish and drive his boat. He loved the Patriots, his boat, fishing and spending time with family and his lifelong friends.
Mike was a dedicated son and brother, who cared for his mother when she needed him most. Mike always had your back. He was a fun loving guy, who everyone enjoyed spending time with. Mike will be missed by all.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 7th at 11 am at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Visitation will precede the Service from 9-11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union St, Springfield MA 01101 or Thomas J O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center, 627 Cottage St., Springfield MA 01104.
