Mary T. Noreen

Mary T. (Hallisey) Noreen, 93, passed away February 8, 2025, after a period of declining health. Born in Boston, November 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (McCarthy) Hallisey. Mary was a woman of deep faith and love for her family and was extremely proud of her Irish Heritage. She was a longtime communicant of St Michael’s Church in East Longmeadow. Her beloved husband of 64 years, Clifford D. Noreen, passed away in 2020. Mary and Cliff spent many winters of their retirement years with lifelong friends in Naples, FL. Mary was a very kind and compassionate woman. She was a voracious reader and member of many book clubs and bible study groups in her life. She leaves her devoted children, Clifford M. (Ellen) of The Villages, FL, Paul E. (Vicki) of Sacramento, CA, Patricia Carpenter (Robert Carpenter M.D.) of Rowley, MA and David J. (Gina) of Marston Mills, MA, her grandchildren, Lauren, Eric(Lily), Luke (Grace), Collin and Abigail (Cam), her great grandchildren, Adalyn, Alina, Luke Henry, Lux and Levi. Mary was predeceased by her siblings, Elizabeth, John and Daniel. The family would like to thank Mary-Kate Langone and her entire staff at Murphy Avis Home Care for their wonderful care and support. Mary’s Funeral Mass will be Monday February 17th at 11:30AM at St Michael’s Church,128 Maple St., East Longmeadow with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
