Mary Gagnon

Longtime Springfield resident Mary (Chartier) Gagnon passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Ware to the late Joseph and Easter (Anderson) Chartier. Always willing to help people, she worked for many years as a PCA home health aide.
Mary will be sadly missed by her two children; David Gagnon of Ware and Kristen Gagnon Melendez and her husband Eddie Melendez of Springfield, brother Joseph Chartier and his wife Sherri of Palmer, 7 grandchildren; Alexander, Eddie, Anthony, Haley, Selena, Jasmine and Alexus, 5 great grandchildren; Sofia, Zaiden, Aurora, Jackson and Eddie, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was also predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Gagnon, and her 3 sisters; Diane, June and Mildred. Mary’s Memorial Service will take place on Friday, June 21st at 11AM at Cornerstone Church, 15 Kibbe Rd., East Longmeadow. Wilbraham Funeral Home is assisting the family.
