Mary E. (Francis) Linke-Finn

Mary E. (Francis) Linke-Finn, 99, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at East Village Place, East Longmeadow. Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was born on July 1, 1917 in Hampden, MA to the late John and Mary Francis. Mary was a devoted homemaker who lived in Springfield, Wilbraham and Quail Run Retirement Home before moving to East Village Place. She was a long-time member of Old First Church UCC, Spfld. She was also a member of Springfield Garden Club and Wilbraham Senior Center while also teaching sewing at the YWCA. Mary was predeceased by her husband of 40 years Richard C. Linke and her second husband Joseph Finn, her brother Stephen Francis and sister Katherine Neal. She leaves daughters; Glenna (Roger) Ball and Cynthia (George) Humphrey, plus four grandchildren; Susan Handzel, Paul Humphrey, Kimberly Henrichon and Andrew Ball and five beloved great grandchildren. A Private Graveside Service at Hillcrest Park Cemetery was presided over by the Rev. William Wildman from the East Longmeadow Congregational Church. Wilbraham Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Rescue Mission, PO Box 9045, Springfield, MA 01102.
