Mark E. Lucek

Mark E. Lucek, 53, died peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at home, surrounded by his family, after a long, courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born in Springfield, he was the son of Geraldine (Costello) Lucek and the late Edwin Lucek. Mark will be sadly missed by his daughter Arrika (Lucek) Denbin and her husband Jeffrey of Wilbraham, his brothers Kenneth Lucek of Las Vegas, NV and James Lucek of Springfield and his three beloved grandchildren; Cameron, Kyla and Ryder, as well as many family and friends. Mark was a graduate of Minnechaug Regional High School in 1981 and worked at The Hartford Insurance Company as a Disaster Recovery Specialist for 25 years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed swimming, scuba diving and the beach. He was also a lifelong fan of The King, Elvis Presley. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 9th from 4:00-6:30pm followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Baystate VNA & Hospice, 50 Maple St., PO Box 9058, Springfield, MA 01102.
