Marjorie Agerton

September 27, 1935 — January 20, 2025

Longtime Wilbraham resident, Marjorie (Nieske) (Satter) (Van Brocklyn) Agerton, 89, died peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham. Born in Springfield, she was daughter of the late Herman and Frieda (Lemon) Nieske. She earned a Bachelors degree from American International College and worked as a Registered Nurse at Wesson and Ludlow Hospitals for many years until her retirement.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her son Mark Satter in 1981, husbands; Robert R. Van Brocklyn in 1994 and Spurgeon H. Agerton in 2012, and her brother George Nieske. She is survived by her children; Edwin Satter of Wilbraham and Laurie Satter of Okeechobee, FL, step daughter Sherry Agerton, brother Frederic Nieske, grandchildren; Mark Satter and James Zucco, 2 great grandchildren, her first husband Edwin Satter and her best friend Adele Weaver. A Graveside Service will be held in the Spring at Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lisa Rescue, True, Faithful, Rescue Mission, 266 N. Jackson Road, Venice, FL 34292.
