Obituary
Marilyn L. (Korabowski) Fogarty, 78, died peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2022. Born in Springfield to the late Adam and Mary (Hejic) Korabowski, she was a lifelong Springfield resident and a graduate of Springfield Trade School. She worked in the kitchen at Springfield Municipal Hospital for more than 30 years until her retirement. An avid bowler, Marilyn was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 148 Ladies Auxiliary and was former Ladies Auxiliary President of the Forest Park VFW Post 7352. Marilyn was predeceased by her beloved husband John Fogarty, her sister Elena Degowin and her sister in law Kathy Korabowski. She is survived by her brother Adam Korabowski of Wilbraham and her nephews; Kyle and Adam Korabowski. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9 from 8:30 – 9:30 AM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Marilyn’s Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made in Marilyn’s Name to Forest Park VFW Post 7352, 63 Veterans Way, Springfield, MA 01108.
