Margaret "Peggy" (Shea) Cheney

Margaret �Peggy� F. Cheney, 87, died peacefully on Sunday at Wingate at Hampden. Born in Fitchburg to the late Francis and Helen (Sweeney) Shea, she was a graduate of St. Bernard�s High School in Fitchburg and College of Our Lady of the Elms, Chicopee. She co-owned with her husband Cheney Design Engineering of Fitchburg and PE Cheney Engineering of Yarmouth. She was a communicant of St. Cecilia�s Church in Wilbraham and Our Lady of the Cape Church in Brewster. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Paul E. Cheney in 2010. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Paula C. Talmadge and her husband Rick of Wilbraham, her sister Helen �Ann� McGrath of Hyannis, three beloved grandchildren; Maura Talmadge, Michael Talmadge and his wife Michelle Holmberg and Carolyn Talmadge, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by her sister Kathryn �Sally� Dolan. Peggy�s Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am at St. Cecilia�s Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Visitation will precede the Mass on Wednesday from 9:00-10:00 am at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Burial will follow at 12 Noon in MA Veterans� Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph Retirement Fund, 577 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
