Margaret C. (Battige) Lacey

Margaret Carrie (Battige) Lacey, 83, formerly of Quarry Hill passed away Saturday at Wingate at West Springfield. She was born in Palmer on October 6th, 1931 to the late Wendell and Helen (Meyers) Battige. She lived most of her life in East Longmeadow and was a graduate of Classical High School. Margaret was an active member of the First Congregational Church in East Longmeadow. She was a longtime member of the NCT Camping Travelers. She was the beloved widow of Frank R. Lacey who passed away in 2010, loving mother of Kevin Lacey and his wife Christine of Goshen and Kenneth Lacey and his wife Lynn of Brimfield, caring sister of Barbara Knight of Houston, devoted grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 6. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Jean Cooke and Mary Beaumier. There will be a Memorial Service Friday at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church, 7 Somers Road, East Longmeadow, MA 01028. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
