Marcia J. (Miner) Roode

Longtime Springfield resident Marcia J. (Miner) Roode, 98, died peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2017. Born in Springfield to the late George and Lena (Martin) Miner, she worked as a Supervisor at New England Telephone Co. for 30 years, until her retirement in 1980. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Sechrist and her husband Jim, her brother Frederick Miner, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A private Graveside Service will be held at Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer�s Assn. of Western MA, 264 Cottage St., Springfield, MA 01104.
